If you are a small business do you really need a website?
Simple answer is a massive YES!
Not having a website is costing you money, simple as that.
We live in an age where if you want an answer to a query you just ‘Google it’.
This means if you are looking for a business or service you will go on to the Google search engine (or Bing, Yahoo, MSN etc) and type what you are looking for and find thousands of answers.
Now if you don’t have a website you are not going to show in the results and therefore a competitor is going to get the business.
A report by the Federation of Small Businesses shows one-in-four small UK businesses do not have a website.
The internet is a very powerful marketing tool and regardless of the size of your business you need to make sure you are benefiting from this.
By having a website you can communicate with potential clients/customers via a contact form or subscribe to an online mailing list to be kept up to date of the latest information about your business and this is vital for your success.
Just think if you are an hairdresser you can have potential customers book an appointment, look at previous hairstyles you have created.
If you are a Builder potential customers can view previous work you have carried out, email you regards booking an appointment to quote for work to undertake etc.
